Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the Bored Dublin project?
This is a creative platform where you can build your own virtual 'house' to share your ideas, stories, and fantasies. It's a place to find like-minded people, discuss your projects, and maybe even bring them to life together.
What are 'houses' and 'streets'?
A 'house' is your personal project or creative space. It can be anything from a blog to a gallery of your art. 'Streets' are thematic categories that group houses together, making it easier for others to discover your work and for you to find interesting projects.
Is it free to use?
Registration is free, and you get a starting balance of our internal currency, 'tugriks'. Creating ('renting') a house has a small cost in tugriks. You can earn more by suggesting new streets that get approved by the administration.
What are 'tugriks' and how do I get them?
Tugriks are the internal currency of the project. You receive a starting amount upon registration. You can earn more when your suggested streets are approved by moderators. We plan to add more ways to earn tugriks in the future.
What is 'moderation'?
To maintain a high-quality and safe environment, all new houses and significant edits to existing ones are reviewed by administrators before they become public. This ensures that content complies with our community guidelines.
